This is a private, canon divergent, multi-everything, crossover, and OC friendly blog for Hermione Granger. This blog may contain NSFW and possibly triggering content. I will do my best to tag sensitive content appropriately.

This blog does not support nor condone JKR in any way. This is the only place where I will speak regarding the muns personal feelings and opinions on non-fandom content. Trans Rights are human rights, transmen are men and transwomen are women. Non-binary folks are just as valid as everyone else and this blog is a place of refuge for anyone who needs it. Please reach out if you ever need an ear. I'll happily listen.

Following & Writing

I am a selective and mutuals only blog. This is honestly just to make my life simpler. If I follow you and you don't follow back, that's cool I get it, I will most likely block you just so I don't accidentally refollow you in the future. This isn't personal, it's just because I have a terrible memory and run three blogs. I don't ever want someone to be uncomfortable because I've followed and refollowed.

I don't use icons, but I do use small text. I don’t expect/I don’t care if you format/use icons/small text. You do you. Let me know if there is anything I can do to make my blog more accessible to you.

If I lose interest in a thread, I WILL do my best to let you know. I also have a tracker on my blog so you can see if I’ve replied. I go in receiving order and the tracker is organized by URL.

I love memes. Turning them into threads is an awesome way to get to know me and my muse. While I’m fairly open, I reserve the right to answer which memes I feel comfortable answering. If you do continue a meme, please post your reply in a new post and tag me in it.

I generally prefer para/multi-para/novella length threads; however, this does not apply to memes. Some memes may have detailed responses, some may be quick one-liners.

Shipping

Regarding romantic shipping, I am open to chemistry and honestly - just talk to me about it. I prefer to know the mun before jumping into anything and I love discussing ships. I won’t write underage smut, or romances between an underage Hermione and a significantly older muse. Anything that occurs between an underage Hermione and an age-appropriate muse does not exceed relatively innocent teen behavior and will not include smut/nudity/ect.

I happen to love both of these ships and characters a lot; however, all ships are based on chemistry. While Hermione might develop feelings for them; these muses are under no obligation to return those feelings or comply with canon regarding how these relationships developed or ended. They can be happily platonic

History

Hermione was born to dentists, Philomena and Edwin Granger on a chilly autumn morning in September. Aside from the typical tantrums and fussiness of most infants, Hermione was a happy child and exceptionally bright. A fact that made her parents very proud.

Hermione was spent most of her childhood buried in the pages of her favorite stories, in fact her first sign of magic manifested itself when she was reaching for a book on a shelf she couldn't quite reach.

While the adults in her life meant well, their praise of her supposed maturity seemed to widen the divide between Hermione, and the other children her age. Oh, she got on famously with her cousins, and teachers in particular - but other children found her to be bossy and loved to tease her for her hair and buck-teeth, Hermione did not take their critiques quietly, but she did take them to heart.

Overall, prior to receiving her letter, Hermione lived a rather simple and happy life with her parents. She attended school, she read an obscene amount, and her minor magical mishaps only caused occasional concern.

Personality

Hermione is someone that has nurtured that best parts of herself and learned to acknowledge the worst. As a child, Hermione battled intense feelings of insecurity and a fear of failure that prompted her need to prove herself. She was forever worried that she would fail as a witch, and never quite catch up to those born in the wizarding world. Always torn between the two places she called home, she's always felt out of place in both.

As Hermione grew and fostered positive relationships with Harry, Ron, and eventually Ginny, Luna, and Neville - she became more sure of herself and her place in among her peers. While exceedingly compassionate and devoted to combating prejudice within the wizarding world, she does maintain some dated beliefs herself and can be a bit of a hypocrite when it comes to following the rules and respecting authority. She's headstrong, argumentative, and usually convinced that she's right - even when she's dead wrong. She likes to do things above board when she can, but can and will do whatever it takes to do what is necessary.

MAIN VERSE

18-20 yrs/old

After the completion of her final year, Hermione was unsure with what to do with her life, despite her apparent maturity and steadfast manner, she was still a child thrown into the heart of war, and as such – was unable to truly explore the opportunities that laid available to her. She, like many of her classmates and friends, carried her own demons, and with her education complete chose to find her parents and return home after their memories were restored.

21-27 yrs/old

Upon her return to the Wizarding World, Hermione – to the surprise of many, chose to simply pursue research (with a particular focus on Charms). Having always held a passion for learning, Hermione made it her mission to learn as much as she could about magic, and the history of the world that had become her own. It was during this time she became the proprietor of Hedwig’s, a small bookshop that catered primarily to researchers, professors, and specialists. Over time, Hedwig’s became known for its robust collection of rare and advanced magical texts.

THE NEXT CHAPTER

28-59 yrs/old

Following several years of researching and developing experimental charms, potions, and spells Hermione applied for an apprenticeship under Filius Flitwick, eventually assuming his position upon retirement. All the while, she remained in frequent contact and confidence of Kingsley, advocating for the removal of laws that favored pureblooded witches and wizards over others; in addition to equal rights and status for the magical minorities of the Wizarding World. Hermione taught for many years and sought to improve the school for future generations.

59+

Hemione accepted the position as Headmistress of Hogwarts. In this position, Hermione makes several controversial changes to how the school is run. Her most radical change included postponing the sorting until students reached their 4th year. She's also known for the sacking of Professor Binns - while he was removed from his post as teacher, he was allowed to remain within the halls of Hogwarts as a tutor.

School Years

YEAR 7

This verse is set post-war and follows Hermione as she completes her final year at Hogwarts. Hermione is as studious as ever, but fresh from war she struggles to adapt back to daily life - particularly without Harry or Ron at her side. In this verse, Hermione has not found her parents and restored their memories - waiting for the dust to settle and ensuring their safety from any lingering Death Eaters.

THE SECOND WIZARDING WAR

While the Second Wizarding War officially began in 4th year, this verse begins after Dumbledore's funeral and continues until just after the Battle of Hogwarts.

YEARS 5-6

Plots in this verse can take place anytime during Hermione's 5th and 6th year at Hogwarts. This verse is NOT canon compliant and does not assume any romantic attachment or interest in Ronald Weasley by default.

YEARS 3-4

Plots in this verse can take place anytime during Hermione's 3rd and 4th year at Hogwarts.This verse is NOT canon compliant and does not assume any romantic attachment or interest in Viktor Krum by default.

YEARS 1-2

Plots in this verse can take place anywhere from the time Hermione receives her acceptance letter to the end of term of her second year at Hogwarts. This verse is canon compliant.

This verse follows the question of what life may have been like, had Hermione been raised as a muggle, or simply never received her letter. Within this verse, Hermione pursues a degree in law and works closely with a non-profit within London. Threads in this verse can take place at any point in her timeline.
